Gani-yu has a long history as a popular hot spring. It’s also famous for the folktale of a crab that fell in love with a girl and the name Gani-yu comes from the story. Looking at the unique scenery from the riverside is relaxing, but you can also enjoy a hot spring bath 24 hours a day (a changing room is located below the bridge). The bath is open to both men and women, and it’s not fenced in. Bringing your own bathing suit will be convenient. Relax in the bath and feel a special sense of freedom like letting yourself become one with the flow of the river.
古くから人々が集って体を癒していた、歴史ある温泉。人間の娘に恋をした蟹（カニ）の伝説が残っていて、「ガニ湯」の名の由来となっています。
川岸からこの独特の風景を眺めるだけでも癒されますが、橋の下に脱衣所があり、24時間自由に入浴することもできます。男女が同じ湯船につかる「混浴温泉」で、周りに隔てるものが何もないので、可能なら水着を持参すると利用しやすいでしょう。
川の流れに身を預けるような、特別な解放感を味わえます。
