Kur Park Nagayu クアパーク長湯

The long-term friendship between a German hot spring resort and Nagayu Onsen is behind the establishment of this hot spring complex. Kur in German means a stay at a hot spring for health and relaxation. Kur Park Nagayu is a spa that features a walking pool, a restaurant offering natural food cooked with local specialty ingredients, and comfortable accommodations. Rental bathing suits are available, and the restaurant is open to non-stay guests, too.

Onsen area has the place you can walk in a bath called Bade Zone where it necessary to wear swimsuits, and separate bathrooms for men and women.

The building was designed by Shigeru Ban, winner of the 2014 Pritzker Architecture Prize. The roof, supported by four large posts, harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding scenery.
