”FUKUJYUYA Okajou distillery”, the only shochu brewery in Taketa city, was founded in 2009 by “Kayashima Sake Brewing Co.Ltd” which was founded in 1897.
“Bungo Seimei” made at the Okajou Distillery is a barley shochu made with the malted rice that is rare in Oita prefecture.
You will be greeted by a storehouse and a shoya-style store along the streets in the castle town (Oka castle) of Taketa city.
You can also sample and tour the brewery (reservation required) at the store, so please contact us.
